Vinay and Yogi Babu on board Sivakarthikeyan's 'Doctor'

It is speculated that the film will also feature 'Bigg Boss' fame Kavin and 'Thumbaa' actor Dharshan.

Sivakarthikeyan, who was last seen in Namma Veettu Pillai would be teaming up with director Nelson Dilipkumar of Kolamavu Kokila fame. Titled Doctor the film would be produced by KJR Studios in association with Siva's home banner Sivakarthikeyan Production. This will be Sivakarthikeyan's their production after Kanaa and Nenjam Undu Nermai Undu Odu Raja.

Now, the team has officially confirmed that actor Vinay who was last seen playing the villain in Mysskin's Thupparivaalan and actor Yogi Babu are on board this film. It is speculated that the film will also feature Bigg Boss fame Kavin and Thumbaa actor Dharshan. The shooting of Doctor will commence on December 6. Anirudh Ravichander is on board to compose the tunes.

Sivakarthikeyan is awaiting the release of PS Mithran's Hero which is slated to hit the screens on December 20. Pairing up with Sivakarthikeyan in Hero will be two actors - Kalyani Priyadarshan and Ivana. Bollywood star Abhay Deol, actors Arjun, Vivek and Robo Shankar will be forming the supporting star cast. RD Raja and KJR Studios are bankrolling this venture. George C Williams and Ruben are in charge of the film’s cinematography and editing respectively.

Sivakarthikeyan will also soon resume shooting for his upcoming yet-untitled science-fiction Tamil film with director Ravikumar. Tipped to be an alien invasion comedy, the film also stars Rakul Preet Singh. Not long ago, rumors emerged that Sivakarthikeyan took over the reins of this project. However, he recently clarified in a media interaction that he didn’t take over the project but has agreed to shoot without remuneration as the film has been on the floors for a long time. 

He also has a film with Vignesh Shivn in the pipeline and the film will mark the first time collaboration of Siva and Vignesh, whose last release was Suriya starrer Thaana Serntha Kootam (TSK). Currently dubbed as SK 17, it was recently reported that Rashmika Mandanna is in talks to  be signed up for the project.
