Vineeth Sreenivasan’s next is 'Manoharam'

The film will be directed by Anvar Sadik who has earlier made the film ‘Ormayundo Ee Mukham’ with Vineeth in the lead.

Vineeth Sreenivasan has inked a new deal to act in a movie titled Manoharam. The film will be directed by Anvar Sadik. The two of them has earlier teamed up for Ormayundo Ee Mukham, a film that seemed to be inspired by the American romantic comedy 50 First Dates.

Manoharam will be bankrolled by Jos Chakkalakal under the banner Chakkalakal Films. Besides Vineeth Sreenivasan, the film will have Indrans, Basil Joseph, Deepak Parambol, Hareesh Perady, Jude Anthany Joseph, VK Prakash, Delhi Ganesh, Ahmed Siddique, Nisthar Sait, Manju Sunil, Kalaranjini, Sreelekshmi, Veena Nair and Nandini playing supporting roles.

Jebin Jacob will be the cinematographer for Manoharam with Sajeev Thomas, a former associate of maestro AR Rahman, roped in to compose the tunes and Nithin Raj doing the editing of the film.

The groundwork to get this project on the floors is on and the shooting will begin this week, we hear. More details about Manoharam are expected to be out once the shooting begins.

Vineeth Sreenivasan, who began as a playback singer, has also written and directed movies such as Malarvadi Arts Club, Thattathin Marayathu and Thira. His last directorial was Jacobinte Swargarajyam. The movie featured Nivin Pauly in the lead as a young man who is initially seen irresponsible enjoying the comforts provided by his rich dad and slowly growing into a man taking care of the family when it lands in trouble. It was based on a real-life story, shared by Vineeth’s friend Greogry Jacob.

Vineeth frequently acts too and was last seen as hero in the movie Aravindante Athidhikal. Directed by M Mohanan, the film also featured Vineeth’s veteran actor-writer dad Sreenivasan in a pivotal role. Produced by Pradeep Kumar Pathiyara and Noble Babu Thomas under the banners Pathiyara Entertainments and Big Bang Entertainments, this Mollywood movie has recently won for Prasanna Sujit the Kerala State award for best choreography.
