Nadigar Sangam General Secretary actor Vishal in a recent interview opened up about Ajith and Vijay's absence during Nadigar Sangam’s cricket match, organised in a bid to raise funds for its ambitious plans of constructing a new building.

The members of the Association have been collecting funds from various sources with several stars like Suriya chipping in with lakhs of rupees. Further, a cricket match with stars was organised in the month of April to help in the fundraising and sizeable funds were collected through the match.

It was a star-studded event with the presence of Superstar Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan and many other stars like Suriya, but Ajith, Vijay and Simbu skipped the event.

In a recent interview, General Secretary Vishal said that he personally invited Vijay for the event but he said he wasn’t interested. Vishal also said that he couldn’t reach Ajith, who had said that he would not be attending the event anyway. "Some actors may have not felt comfortable with certain things and I respect their decision," added the actor.

Meanwhile, Nadigar Sangam office-bearers thanked Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa for her decision of reviving the State Film Awards.
