The thriller genre is nothing new for actor Arulnithi who was previously seen in films like Demonte Colony and Iravuku Ayiram Kangal. The actor will next be seen in K13, a psychological mystery thriller film written and directed by Barath Neelakantan.

The film’s teaser that was released on Monday begins with the actor waking up and realising that he's bound to a chair with the word ‘Sorry’ scribbled on the wall facing him. The teaser is then a rush of scenes that only ups its mystery quotient.

Actor Shraddha Srinath also features in the clip, playing the mystery woman whose voice-over we hear in the trailer. There are references to mental illnesses in her narration and with Arulnithi frantically moving about from frame to frame inside a house, we begin to doubt if she’s real or just a figment of his imagination. Actors Gayathrie and Yogi Babu too make an appearance in the trailer.

Before the video ends, we see Shraddha facing the mirror and smiling while the voice-over asks - ‘What is wrong in wanting to be alone?’.

Produced by SP Sankar and Santha Priya, the film will be director Barath Neelakantan’s debut feature. The film has music by Sam CS and its cinematography has been handled by Aravinnd Singh. Ruben has edited K13 and the sound design is by Udhayakumar T.

The film’s release date is yet to be revealed. In addition to K13, Shraddha also has Pink remake Nerkonda Paarvai with Ajith and Maara. Her Hindu debut film Milan Talkies opened to good reviews last Friday.

Shraddha also has Jersey starring Nani in Telugu that will mark her debut in the industry. In Kannada she is working on Godhra directed by KS Nandeesh and Ravi Varma’s Rustum in addition to the long delayed Shadibagya
