The trailer of Vijay Sethupathi starrer Super Deluxe that was released on Friday immediately went viral, enthralling fans with its very intriguing and exciting presentation. On Sunday, a video clip of the actor dubbing the now-famous lines of the nail-biting story from the film’s trailer was released.

Vijay Sethupathi tries different modulations of the lines ‘Oru naal, Oru aal…’ (one day, one man) before finally completing it in one breath, giving us a taste of what went on behind the scenes.

The actor does multiple renditions of different lines, some loud others soft, almost in a whisper, before finally getting his tempo and delivery right. At one point, the actor says, ‘let’s try it the way I want once’ before beginning on the long monologue once again.

Vijay Sethupathi plays Shilpa, a trans woman, in Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s Super Deluxe that will hit screens on March 29 this year.

The film also stars Samantha, Fahad Fassil, Ramya Krishnan, Gayathrie and Mysskin in important roles.

Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s last film was Aaranya Kaandam (2010), also a multi-starrer with Jackie Shroff, Ravi Krishna, Sampath Raj, Guru Somasundaram and Yasmin Ponnappa. This film’s trailer was a brilliant montage presented with a villupaatu style narration giving us a gist of the film’s story. Now back with his second feature, Super Deluxe has Yuvan Shankar Raja for music, S Vinod and Nirav Shah for DoP and Sathyaraj Natarajan for editing. The film has been produced by Thiagarajan’s home banner Tyler Durden and Kino Fist, East West Dream Works and Alchemy Vision Workz.
