'Rowdy Baby’ is the latest dance number from Dhanush’s upcoming Maari 2 that was released on Wednesday. This song has been choreographed by Prabhu Deva and promises to be a very peppy dance number. The video is a slideshow of pictures that show Dhanush and Sai Pallavi dancing.

'Rowdy Baby', which has been composed by Yuvan Shankar Rajam has been crooned by Dhanush and Dhee. The lines have been penned by Dhanush himself. Maari 2 marks the reunion of Dhanush and Yuvan Shankar Raja after a hiatus of nearly a decade.

Maari 2 is director Balaji Mohan’s sequel to his film Maari that was released in 2015. The cinematographer for this film is Om Prakash, production design is by Amaran and editing by Prasanna GK. Balaji Mohan has both written and directed the film. Maari 2 is being produced by Dhanush’s production Wunderbar Films. 

Maari was a gangster film in which Maari (Dhanush) plays a local ruffian who troubles everyone in his locality. The film created its own cult with the attire and the look of Dhanush and the film’s popular catchphrase ‘Senjiruven.’ 

Director Balaji took to Twitter to reveal the characters from his film one after the other. Dhanush’s first-look has been retained from the prequel.

Actor Tovino Thomas’ look as Beeja aka Thanatos was revealed recently, in which the actor was seen sporting dreadlocks and a black bandanna. Tovino who plays the villain in this flick was described as “lives and breathes killing. With brain and with bullet.”

Actor Sai Pallavi, on the other hand, was introduced as Araathu Aanandhi and was described as “a fun character that's also right at the heart of the story of Maari 2."

The final character reveal from the film was that of Varalaxmi Sarathkumar who plays Vijaya, the Joint Secretary of State - Dept. Of Law & Judiciary and was described to be a “bold, honest and straightforward (person). A ray of hope who always strives to do the right thing.” Maari 2 is expected to release in December this year.
