The much awaited trailer for Samantha Akkineni’s film Oh Baby is finally here.

The trailer starts with veteran actor Lakshmi going into a photo studio and walking out as a younger version of herself, played by Samantha. The plot seems to be filled with a number of fun antics as the elderly woman gains her youth back and is set on an adventure.

Numerous scenes between Samantha and the younger men who attempt to woo her, unaware that she is, in fact, an elderly woman provide comedy. The trailer hints of some emotional drama as well, as the lead character reflects upon the loss of her husband (played by Adivi Sesh in a cameo role) at a young age.

Samantha took to Twitter to announce the release of the trailer on Thursday morning.

“This one is dedicated to all the BABY s in our lives #OhBabyTrailer - https://youtu.be/D4x6CeRV5Bc Thank you @nandureddy4u for this Let me know your thoughts @IamNagashaurya | @SureshProdns | @peoplemediafcy | @gurufilms1 | @kross_pictures | @MickeyJMeyer | @RIP_apart,” tweeted the actor.

Earlier, the teaser of the film was released on May 27, and quickly reached 3.6 million views on YouTube.

The movie is a remake of the Korean comedy drama Miss Granny which was directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk.

Directed by BV Nandini Reddy, the film also stars Rao Ramesh and Naga Shaurya in important roles. The film is produced by Sunita Tati under the banner of People’s Media Factor along with Suresh Productions. Mickey J Meyer has composed the tunes for the film.

Samantha was last seen in Majili alongside her husband Naga Chaitanya, their first onscreen presence together after getting married. The film was directed by Shiva Nirvana and generally opened to good reviews.

Oh Baby will hit the screens on July 5, along with its dubbed version releasing in Tamil.
