You've survived Engineering: Look back on your journey with these hilarious memes

It's Engineer's Day and you ought to celebrate.

Written by : TNM Staff

It’s Engineer’s Day today. The day is observed on the birth anniversary of Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, the Diwan of Mysuru, who was a scholar, educationist and engineer. Visvesvaraya was the chief engineer who built the Krishna Raja Sagara Dam and the flood protection system for the city of Hyderabad.

Of course, it is another matter that this report claims over 80% of students who pass out of engineering colleges in India today are unemployable. But why be a killjoy on such a special occasion?

"You can beg and survive, Sivaji!" (Rajinikanth, playing Sivaji, is the Engineer here.)

Let’s also bypass the fact that most students in India become engineers because they had no choice in the matter.

It’s still a day worth celebrating! After all, what a long way you have come!

Take a moment to remind yourself of the sacrifices you’ve made along the way.

So what if people don’t always recognize your worth?

Nayanthara (Amma): “Call the electrician!”

Vijay Sethupathi (Engineering student): “Tell me, what should I do?”

Nayanthara: “That’s what I said, call the electrician!”
