Anbulla Ghilli is a romantic tale with a difference. Yes, the uniqueness of the film is that it is a love story between two Labrador dogs. We have an update about this romantic entertainer and it is that noted music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja and actor-singer Andrea Jeremiah are singing a duet that will feature the lead canine pair.

Speaking about the song in an interview to Cinema Express, director Srinath Ramalingam said, “The film is a romantic drama, where the dog predominantly narrates the script. There’s a romantic track too for him. For a duet between the two dogs, Radio City RJ Love Guru had written a breezy song, which begins with the lyric ‘Aliya En Thozhiya’. Music director Arrol Corelli and I wanted to try something quirky, and we approached Andrea and Yuvan Shankar Raja to render the duet in their unique styles. They were equally excited, and the song has come out really well.”

The director added that a lot of computer graphics have been added for this particular song to get the lip-sync with the canines right and that it has come out very well. Srinath Ramalingam is certain that the song will be a hit among kids.

Anbulla Ghilli stars Mythreya, Dushara, VJ Aashiq, Chandini, Mime Gopi, Nanjil Vijayan and Mouna Raagam Krithika. The shooting of this film is now in the final stages and the filmmakers are getting ready to set its release date.

Srinath had earlier told TOI, “After my debut film Unakkenna Venum Sollu, I wanted to try something different for my next. It was also a period when I was going through tough life challenges and I was dealing with anxiety. I adopted a dog. But ever since he came into my life, things became different for me. My dog taught me a lot of things, the first lesson being to celebrate life. I realised that dogs provide unconditional love to their masters, more than your mother does. Even your mother can get upset with you, but a dog always showers love on his master. No wonder, they say that a dog is a man’s true friend. It was all this that inspired me to write this script.”

Srinath Ramalingam made his directorial debut with Unakkenna Venum Sollu, a horror film that came out in 2015. It was produced by N Shanmuga Sundaram under the banner Juna Pictures. The film starred Deepak Paramesh, Jaqlene Prakash, Gunalan Morgan and Anu in the lead roles.
