Images: Bellandur lake froths again, overflows as Bengaluru gets flooded

"People here are unable to move around and are facing major inconvenience," Manoj, a resident of Yemalur says.

While rains subside in Bengaluru, several areas across the city are dealing with flooding, traffic woes and the Bellandur lake is frothing, yet again. The rains and water flowing into the lake have left the water frothing.

"The water level has risen very high, and is just three to five metres below the bridge. Foam from the lake has spread everywhere and people are afraid to come into contact with it. People here are unable to move around and are facing major inconvenience," Manoj, a resident of Yemlur says.

Abhinandan, another resident of Yemalur, says that uprooted plants that have found their way into the lake have now created a 10 ft dam just under the bridge over the lake, blocking the flow of water.

"If water continues to flow for the next one hour, it will flow over the bridge," he says.

"Around 50 houses in a gated community in Karim Agrahara (an area adjacent to Yemalur), have also been inundated," he adds.

Here are some pictures of and around the lake.
