A shocking video has emerged in Karnataka, showing the monstrous face of a money lender, who is also reportedly a BJP worker.

The CCTV footage shows the man yelling at a woman in the room while she cowers behind a desk. In a fit of rage, the man then reaches across the desk to hit the woman, and when she steps away, he walks to the side of the desk and slaps her repeatedly.

The video further shows the man continuing to yell at her. And here’s when it gets even more disturbing: At one point, he reaches into his pocket and takes out a cycle chain, which he then uses to thrash the woman who is clearly trying to get away from him.

The incident happened in Sanganayakanahalli in Bengaluru, reportedly at the Aryan School. According to reports, the man in the Ramakrishnappa, a BJP worker and a local money lender. Police sources say that the woman in the video, Asha, had borrowed a sum of Rs 70,000 from Ramakrishnappa, and while she was paying him back the interest on the amount, she wasn’t able to repay the principal on time.

On Monday, the money lender decided to threaten her and use violence to get his money back. He reached the school where Asha works as the principal. He then hit her and slapped her.

A complaint has been registered at the Rajanakunte police station.

According to the Investigating Officer Madhukar, the Rajanakunte Police have been trying to track down Ramakrishnappa since Tuesday morning. "We cannot reveal any more information but the accused in the case has absconded as soon as he received information that an FIR for assault had been registered. We are trying to track him down and arrest him as soon as possible," office Madhukar added.
