Three men have been injured in Hassan city in a knife-fight that started out as an altercation over a crush on a girl.

A man named Sunil picked a fight with Dhanush, a pre-university student, on Tuesday, when the latter was at the new KSRTC bus stand. Both belong to K Byadarahalli village. The video emerged on Wednesday.

Dhanush called his brother Sudeep, who arrived with his friend Hemanth. By this time, as the argument became heated, a crowd gathered around the four.

Sunil, who had a knife, stabbed both Sudeep and Dhanush. Sudeep has been injured in the chest and stomach.

In the video however, Sunil is seen on the ground, possibly bleeding profusely, his body limp while the other three take turns in kicking and land blows on him. At one point, Dhanush is heard shouting to Sudeep to take Sunil to the hospital.

A policeman is also seen passing by in the video.

Hassan SP Rahul Kumar Shahapurwad told The News Minute, “There was some love problem between two boys. Sunil and Dhanush started fighting over a girl. Sunil hit Dhanush first. Later Dhanush seemed to have called two of his brothers and they together assaulted Sunil. During which he was also stabbed.”

Shahapurwad said that Sunil was still in hospital, but all of them have been arrested. Two cases have been registered, he said.
