The 2,000 MW capacity solar park at Pavagada in Tumakuru district of Karnataka, which is currently under development, is touted to be the world’s largest.
The Karnataka government has put out an aerial video showing the massive solar power park which is coming up on nearly 12,000 acres of land.
A LiveMint report from earlier this year states that the government's "aim is to generate around 2700 megawatts (MW) from the Pavagada solar park by the end of 2018. The idea resonates with the centre’s ambitious scheme to generate 100 gigawatts (GW) of solar power by 2020."
