Here’s how you can contribute to Kerala flood relief

From government and local collection points to online platforms, here is a list of links and locations where you can donate funds and supplies.

Heavy rains and the subsequent flooding in Kerala have wreaked havoc in several parts of the state. As houses have been completely waterlogged and destroyed, many have become homeless and taken refuge in relief camps. Several people have even been marooned in their own houses, without food, water, electricity and other basic supplies.

Following this, people from all quarters, including public figures and NRIs, have come forward to donate funds and collect supplies such as water cans, rice, candles and sanitary napkins.

Here are some important Kerala flood relief URLs and addresses where people can donate funds and supplies and help those affected by the floods in Kerala rebuild the lives.

Online portals

Google has put out a consolidated and pin-dropped a list of centres providing rescue ops, including shelters, food and water, medicine and essentials, volunteers, Jeep rescue and ambulances, among others. Find it here. 

For every non-corporate ride you take on Ola, Rs 5 gets added to the CM's Relief Fund. 

Amazon is partnering with its implementation partners and state and national disaster coordination committees to provide immediate relief to the victims. The online giant has partnered with three NGOs - Habitat for Humanity India, World Vision India, Goonj.

Paytm has also opened a dedicated page to contribute towards the Kerala CM's Distress Relief Fund. Access it here.

India’s crowdfunding website Milaap, too, opened a fund sourcing page. The fundraiser can be found here. 

Kerala Flood Rescue allows you to add resources like food, shelter and rescue available in your area are listed in a spreadsheet here.

Goonj, working on the ground, has called for funds for flood relief. You can donate here. Big Basket too has tied up with Goonj; you can buy an 'esential kit' of rice, sigar and dal, of which Big Basket will contribute 20% to Kerala.

Crowdfunding website Ketto has also started a fund relief page. The link can be found here. 

Zomato also has an option to provide flood relief to Kerala by way of donating a meal in Kochi, Kerala. You can donate a meal for , 6 or 10 people here or on Zomato mobile app.

Local donation efforts

A host of collection points have been set up in Kerala, Chennai and Bengaluru to collect essential items and supply it to the stranded people via the relief teams.
