Police on Wednesday released a new sketch of the key suspect in the rape and murder of Jisha in Perumbavoor. The sketch has been created based on eyewitness accounts.

Though police had released two sketches earlier, they did not yield any meaningful result.

This is the first sketch prepared after ADGP B Sandhya took charge of the case.

There are also reports that the probe team has collected vital evidence in the case.

As per reports, the suspect is a 5 feet 7 inch tall man, with fair complexion and messy hair.

The new sketch is completely different from the previous ones. The sketch was drawn with the help of information from some students who saw this person on the day of Jisha’s death.

On April 28, Jisha’s body was found in a pool of blood in her one-room residence by her mother, when the latter returned home from work at 8.30pm. She is said to have been killed between 2pm and 5pm.

The autopsy report said that the victim’s intestines were ripped out and that she had suffered multiple wounds on her body, including two deep stab wounds on the chest.
