Police have announced a reward of Rs one lakh for those who provide information on MK Sakthivel, the Vice Principal of Nehru College of Engineering, Pambady and CP Praveen, PRO of the same college, who are both absconding.

A team of high-level crime officers headed by DGP Loknath Behera on Thursday decided to constitute a Special Investigation Team to arrest the absconding accused. As per reports, the DGP has written to other state police chiefs fearing that the duo might have fled Kerala.

The Times of India reports that police have also decided to speed up the procedure for confiscating their assets.

Shakthivel and Praveen are two among the accused who have not yet got anticipatory bail. All other accused including the college chairman P Krishnadas are out on anticipatory bail.
