The Kerala High Court on Monday said the anticipatory bail plea of actor Kavya Madhavan, wife of actor Dileep, need not be considered as the prosecution has given an undertaking that she will not be arrested.

Kavya had filed the petition in the court alleging that the team investigating the Malayalam actor abduction and assault case has plans to arrest her. Kavya had said in a petition that the police had compelled her to give statements against actor Dileep her husband, the 11th accused in Kochi actor abduction case.

In the petition, it was mentioned that on September 9, investigative officers Byju Paulose and Sudarshan visited the designer boutique managed by Kavya’s brother and parents and had threatened that they would arrest Kavya.

Her bail plea states that a high-level conspiracy involving senior police officers, a powerful section of the film industry and certain media persons are trying to destroy Dileep’s entire family by implicating Kavya in the case.

Meanwhile, the HC has postponed the bail plea of director Nadirshah, film director and Dileep’s close friend.

Nadirshah had alleged in the petition that he was also forced by police to give statements against Dileep. He says that the police also tried to name him as an accused.
