The police team probing the actor abduction case questioned Dileep's wife and actress, Kavya Madhavan, on Tuesday.
She was questioned at Dileep’s house in Aluva reports Manorama Online.
According to Mathrubhumi Online, the interrogation lasted for nearly six hours.
ADGP B Sandhya who is heading the Special Investigation Team (SIT) held a meeting at the Aluva Police Club to evaluate the progress of the investigation.
The report says that during the investigation, police asked the actor about the circumstances that led to the attack.
The prime accused in the case, Pulsur Suni, had earlier told the police that a memory card that purportedly contained the obscene images of the victim was kept at the office of Laksyah, the online clothing firm run by Kavya Madhavan.
Based on Suni’s statement, the investigation team had conducted searches at the Laksyah office located at Kakkanad in Kochi.
The memory card, which is believed to be the crucial piece of evidence in the case, is yet to be recovered.
The High Court while denying bail for Dileep on Monday had observed that the memory card is yet to be traced.
Advocate Fenny Balakrishnan who had earlier claimed that he was approached by two friends of Suni to secure bail for him had mentioned about the involvement of a madam in the case.
The madam mentioned by them is believed to be Kavya Madhavan's mother Shyamala.
Meanwhile, the prosecution has requested for in-camera proceedings in the case, asserting that the statement of the victim cannot be revealed in an open court.
“The evidences in the case are more shocking than that of the infamous Nirbhaya rape case," the prosecution said while the judicial first class magistrate court in Angamaly was considering the bail application of Suni.
