Several celebrities were among the early bird voters in Kerala

As polling began for Kerala assembly elections on Monday morning, celebrities showed much enthusiasm in casting their votes within the first two hours after polling began.

Actor and LDF candidate Mukesh was seen patiently waiting in the queue for his turn to cast his vote at Cherukad in Kollam.

Rajya Sabha member and actor Suresh Gopi got his finger inked at in Thiruvananthapuram.

Actor Sreenivasan spoke to the media after casting his vote. 

Heartthrob Dulquer Salmaan who arrived at Panampilly nagar booth in Kochi at around 8 am, triggered curiosity among other voters. Around 10 am, he put up a photo of his inked finger on Facebook, urging people to vote out and exercise their franchise.

He said: "The only ink you need ! Go Vote ! It's our right and our responsibility !! You're not cool if you don't vote !" Within that short span of time, the post had over 400 shares and dozens of comments.

Actor Mammootty also arrived at 10 am at Panampilly nagar booth.

Popular actor Kavya Madhavan cast her vote at Vennala Government school around 11.30 on Monday.

Actor Jayaram also cast his vote in Perumbavoor.

Actor Sanusha was also among the many celebrities who exercised their voting rights.

Actor Dileep arrived at poll booth with his mother to cast his vote in Aluva.
