Ahead of the Janaraksha yatra in Kerala, BJP President Amit Shah on Tuesday said that the yatra is being conducted not only by BJP workers of the state but with the active participation of BJP workers across the country.

He added, “In the last few months, 13 RSS and BJP workers were killed in the state. While conducting the padayatra from Payyannur to Thiruvananthapuram, we will expose the political killings to each citizen of the state.”

Wherever CPI (M) was in power, they resorted to political violence. Whether it was in Bengal or Tripura, and it is right now happening in Kerala also, he said.

He queried, “I want to ask CM Pinarayi Vijayan, who is responsible for killing 84 BJP /RSS workers in Kannur? If he is not answering, I am saying that he is responsible and the blood stains are on him only.”

“I am asking advocates of human rights, why they don’t see the atrocities committed by the Left party? Why are they seeing the colour of the flag? If human rights activists are not ready to see the violence committed by all the people, irrespective of colour of the flag, they should keep silent.

He also expressed sympathy for the family members of party workers who lost their lives in the state due to political violence.

“I bow my head before the family members of the party workers who have sacrificed their lives for the organisation.”

He added that the Communist party should introspect, as across the world, it is vanishing and also, the Congress is vanishing from the country.

Those who were present on the dais included former state BJP president V Muraleedharan, BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan, senior BJP leaders CK Padmanabhan, PS Sreetharan Pillai, MT Ramesh, besides Union minister Alphons Kannanthanam and actor-MP Suresh Gopi.

Leaders of the NDA alliance in the state like CK Janu were also present.

The padayatra will begin from Gandhi Maidan at 3pm. On Wednesday, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is expected to join the padayatra at Keecheri in Kannur.
