Air India pilots making onboard announcements in Hindi to be rewarded?

The News Minute | April 6, 2015 | 09:36 am IST Air India is reportedly planning to reward pilots who make onboard announcements in Hindi, states a report by PTI.Pilots now mostly make announcements in English, but the government is planning to encourage them to use Hindi.A source in Air India told PTI, "They should do so in Hindi as well, as it is our national language. We will encourage them to use Hindi in the cockpit while making onboard announcements."The report also quotes other sources who said that the aircraft operating staff have been directed to keep track of the announcements made by pilots.
