I am overwhelmed by the affection and will return healthy: Kamal Haasan

The actor had been admitted to Apollo hospital for a surgery.

Two days back, The News Minute had reported that actor Kamal Hassan slipped and fell in his office in Chennai, resulting in a fracture on his leg on Wednesday night.

According to TV reports, he had been admitted to Apollo hospital for a surgery with sources close to the actor saying that he had fractured his right leg.

The actor has now released an audio message in which he has thanked his fans for all the love and support.  

He says to all his fans that with so many people showing concern for him after a small accident, ‘I am overwhelmed with all the affection’.

“For this love, I have not done the required penance, all that I have done is some good roles. For all the good and bad that happens to me, I am answerable to you,” says Kamal.

Victory and defeat are not new to me he adds, saying he has learnt a lot over the years.

He also says that this accident should not have happened, with so many projects riding on him and so many hopes pinned on him for their completion.

Assuring fans that he will be back, he says that with the help of doctors, nurses and support staff, he will soon return to normal health. 

‘How are you?, When can we meet? are the kind of questions being asked by worried well-wishers, who have become part of my family, he says.

To these fans, I wish to say that I am writing this letter to you after sitting up and soon I will start walking, he adds.

The actor ends by saying, “I don't have the words to reciprocate your love and affection.”
