With India looking all but comfortable in the second Test match in the ongoing series against Australia, Indian cricket fans had only few things to cheer for.
After suffering a humbling defeat in the first Test played in Pune, the initial response from the men in Blue in Bengaluru was not even close to perfect, after getting all out for a meagre 189 on the first day.
Then came Ishant Sharma venting out his frustration at Aussie skipper Steve Smith by making bizarre facial expressions on Sunday.
It was theatrics all over.
Right before lunch at Day 2, when Australia had just one wicket down, Smith failed to block a full delivery from Sharma and narrowly escaped with the ball just missing his off stump.
Sharma mocked Smith by exaggerating the latter’s expression, and Virat Kohli did not miss the excesses, and burst out laughing while standing in the slips.
