Even as the DDCA controversy gets messier and the face-off between Arvind Kejriwal and Arun Jaitley continues, the Delhi CM has dropped another bomb. In interview with Barkha Dutt on NDTV, Kejriwal claims that a senior journalist told him that his wife was asked by a DDCA official to ‘come to my place at night’ if she wanted her son to be selected in the team.
Kejriwal further said that the mother is the wife of a senior journalist who was ready to depose before the Delhi government’s Commission of Inquiry about irregularities in the DDCA. The son was reportedly in contention for being selected for the Delhi junior team.
Kejriwal said,
“A very senior journalist called me on the phone who is a very good friend of yours. His son plays cricket. He told me… he got a call that his son was selected. In the evening, when the list came, his name was not there. Can you believe that the next day, the journalist’s wife got an SMS that you come to my (official’s) place at night, your son’s selection will be done.”
Kejriwal further said that there were several such tales to be told about the DDCA which was being headed by now Finance Minister Arun Jaitley for many years.
