While most people who are critical of the BJP and Narendra Modi have tried to capitalize and gain political mileage from Aamir Khan's 'intolerance' comment, there seems to be an exception.
Asaduddin Owaisi, who is known for his anti-Modi rhetoric, on Tuesday has strangely said, “I would have never said what Aamir said.”
The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi was referring to the actor’s comment made on Monday while speaking at The Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards in New Delhi on Monday.
Khan said, “I can't deny. I have been alarmed by a number of incidents,” along with saying, that his wife suggested to settle in a different country due to fear of rising intolerance.
Speaking to IndiaToday, Owaisi said, “We have seen numerous riots but still we continue to live here as its our country."
He went on to say, "We will not succumb to nonsense talks. We will do disservice to those who fought for us. We will struggle and strive to live here to improve the country."
