Pokedates for Pokemon Go players: Play, fall in love

Written by : TNM Staff

Does Pokemon Go take up most part of your day, leave you exhausted with the fear that you’d be missing out on a lot of other things? Worry not, Pokedates is probably the service you are in dire need of.

Tapping into the market the augmented reality mobile game Pokemon Go has created, a US-based dating company Project Fixup, has launched a dating app for Pokemon Go players to fall in love, while playing the game!

The players are to answer a few questions based on which the service finds a suitable match, coordinates the time for the meet up, and arranges the date at “PokeGym” or “PokeStop”.  Currently available only in the US, the members would be sent a photograph of their “PokeMatch” once the date is arranged.

For players who might feel $20 a date is expensive, think no more, the “fixup” would be with someone with similar interests. Or like Sarah Press, CEO Co-Founder of Project Fixup feels, “it’s more fun to play with a companion”.

"Pokemon Go has taken the world by storm and it's more fun to play with a companion. We hope PokeDates will bring singles together to experience the joy of the game and explore their city while getting to know one another,” she was quoted as saying by Business Insider India.
