‪Zoo officials claimed that he was mentally sound but he had an unusual desire to shake hands with the lion. The zoo authorities managed to save the man by distracting the African lion pair.

The authorities at the Nehru Zoological Park are still trying to increase the safety measures and have appealed the public to follow the precautionary measures while visiting the zoo.
