What does Harry Potter’s best friend have to do with Ed Sheeran? ‘Shape of You’ and how!

Ron Weasley doing a dramatic reading of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape of You’ is the best thing you’ll see.

British singer Ed Sheeran is quite the heartthrob – he has the looks of a boy, the goofiness of a child and a voice that could melt a rock. His latest album Divide is a clear hit, selling over 4.3 lakh copies within the first three days of its release.

Prior to the album, Sheeran released a few singles, including the immensely popular Shape of You. The song has been an absolute favourite with people choreographing to it, singing music covers (and parodies), making memes and all of the good internet stuff.

But here’s something that might just top it all (even the singing dentist maybe?).

Rupert Grint, the actor who played Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter films, has done a ‘dramatic’ of the song. It’s quite amusing and Grint, who can’t keep a straight face for too long, seems to agree.

The video was posted by Yahoo Celebrity on Monday and has clocked over 1.4 million views.

Apparently, Grint has also been told that he and Sheeran look alike. Does Grint agree? He reacts to this observation at the end of the video.

And guess what? This isn’t the first time Grint has been told he and Sheeran are lookalikes. Referring to him being regularly mistaken as the singer, the Harry Potter star says in this parody video that Sheeran is actually just a character he created.

Rupert Grint has also featured in a music video one of Sheeran’s older songs, Lego House.
