AP buses targeted in Chennai, bus services cancelled

The News Minute | April 7, 2015 | 10:22pm ISTEven as political parties from Tamil Nadu condemned the killing of 20 people from the state in an encounter in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, other sporadic protests broke out in parts of Tamil Nadu.Around eight buses belonging to Andhra State Transport Corporation were damaged by members of the Tamilar Munnetra Kazhagam at the Koyambedu bus terminal in Chennai. Police arrested the outfit's president Athiyaman and another cadre.Following the attack, all buses plying to and from Andhra Pradesh to Chennai have been cancelled.
