The News Minute | October 16, 2014 | 10:40 am IST Nineteen years after April 14, 1995 when a bomb blasted at the Hindu Munnani state headquarters in Chennai, the trial has begun in the case. The blast on Tamil New Years day killed a Munnani leader “Bible" Shanmugam, reported Economic Times. The trial for the case has started at  in a special court for bomb blast cases.A case was registered against five people, however one of them who had allegedly planted the bomb, died in the blast, reported Times of India.The alleged mastermind behind the blasts, Abubakkar Siddique whose role has been suspected in the killings of Hindu leaders in Tamil Nadu is still at large. After sixteen years, police filed a chargesheet in the case in 2011. Repeated adjournments on flimsy grounds were requested for by the accused, said a senior advocate according to the report. They initially did not even have their own advocates, he said.
