Sexual harassment complaint filed against Sasikala Pushpa and family

Expelled AIADMK leader Sasikala Pushpa continues to court controversy a week after being removed from the ruling party. A sexual harassment complaint was lodged with the Thoothukudi police by Sasikala Pushpa’s domestic help against the Rajya Sabha MP and her family members.

In her complaint, she alleged that she was sexually harassed by Sasikala’s son Pradeep Raja and husband Lingeswara Thilagam. She also claims that she was threatened to be killed if she told anybody about the sexual harassment.

The victim was allegedly working as a domestic help at Sasikala’s Thoothukudi residence. The domestic help also claims that she tried to escape from their house in Anna Nagar but they caught her and shaved her head.

Meanwhile, the Madras High Court closed the anticipatory bail petition filed by Sasikala Pushpa's husband and her son as the Chennai Police informed the court that that there are no cases pending against them in their jurisdiction.

A number of complaints have been filed against Sasikala Pushpa following her expulsion. She was expelled from the AIADMK for anti-party activities on August 1.
