One might feel guilty, embarrassed or scared if caught by the traffic police during drunken driving tests, but that was not the case for one man in Hyderabad who was caught driving drunk. Instead of paying a fine, ‘Mittu’ has become a social media star and has inspired countless memes overnight.
The man in the video is seen interacting with the police, even as they ask him to pay the challan. The scene then turns bizarre as he is seen repeatedly questioning the English language skills of the cops. The English-obsessed youth is seen yelling at the policemen, asking them to spell English words like 'government' and 'psychology' for stopping him and asking him to follow the law.
The man, who identified himself as Mittu, a resident of Madhapur in Hyderabad, has become popular with the catchphrase ‘Raadhu’ and it has set off many memes on social media, and several Dubsmash videos.
“You are a government employee. Do you know the spelling of 'government'? ‘Raadhu’. Do any of you know the spelling of 'psychology'? ‘Raadhu’,” he is heard saying.

The man in question even acknowledges that he is drunk but claims that the issue at hand is about how people get a job without knowing the spellings of 'government' and 'psychology'.
When a bystander points out that one doesn't necessarily require English skills for joining the police force, the man brushes him off. At one point, he even claims that he knows Nizamabad MP K Kavitha, caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter, but cops clearly did not buy it.
Meme creators meanwhile have been having a field day.

Though the incident went viral on social media, the police personnel were praised for being patient while handling the situation.
In fact, Mittu’s video was shared so widely that he was invited as a guest to radio shows in the city.

At least he seems to have learned his lesson, as in a video after the incident, he says, “Please don’t drive after drinking and please wear a helmet while riding and going out.”
