A software engineer from Telangana was found dead under mysterious conditions at his apartment in Dallas in the United States late on Saturday.

According to reports, 30-year-old Venkannagari Krishna Chaitanya is a native of Siddipet in Telangana, and was working on a Southeast Airlines project for Cognizant Technologies.

He was also reported to be staying as a paying guest in Arlington.

When Chaitanya did not come out of his room on Friday, the owner of the house informed the police, who broke open the door and found him lying dead on the bed.

A case has been registered and a post-morterm is being conducted. The family of the techie has also been informed.

The local police is yet to ascertain the cause of Chaitanya’s death.

Chaitanya’s father, Srinivasulu, is working as an assistant manager at a bank, and Telangana’s NRI wing representatives Goli Mohan and Sridhar Madhaveni have been ensuring that the body is shifted back to India, reports add.

The state government is also looking into the incident, after the deceased’s family members met with Irrigation Minister and Siddipet legislator T Harish Rao.

Following this, the Telangana government has written to the Indian Counsul General in Houston, and also requested the Centre’s help in bringing the body back.

This is the second such death of a Telangana techie under mysterious circumstances in recent times.

In December last year, A 36-year-old techie from Telangana was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his apartment in Australia.

The body of Kona Adinarayana Reddy was found at around 10pm, on Christmas Day.

The family said that Reddy had stopped responding despite repeated calls from his wife, following which he was later found dead by a friend.

Reddy's wife, Shirisha, said that her husband might have died due to sickness, as he had suffered a heart-stroke a week ago, and was also suffering from dehydration.
