The film, which has been dubbed AA20 (for Allu Arjun’s 20th film) by Twitterati, will be produced by Mythreyi Movie Makers. Shooting will commence once the ‘stylish star’ finishes up his schedule with director Trivikram, with whom he is currently shooting his 19th film.
Fans took to Twitter to express their appreciation for the latest announcement.
In addition to Arya, the Allu Arjun and Sukumar duo also worked on the film Arya 2, which released in 2009 and in which Kajal Aggarwal was paired opposte the actor. Though Arya 2 failed to recreate the same magic at the box office as the first film, fans of the actor were all praise for the lead character.
Sukumar debuted as a director with his 2004 venture Arya which was produced by Dil Raju. The film was met with rave reviews and enjoyed by critics and moviegoers alike. Many compared it to Pawan Kalyan’s Tholiprema. The movie tells the story of Arya, played by Allu Arjun, who falls in love with Anuradha Mehta’s character Geetha who has been intimidated into a relationship with Ajay, a spoiled brat and son of a local MP. It revolves around these three characters and how Arya eventually manages to get Geetha to realise her true feelings.
