In one episode, he will be egoistic. In another he is going to behave like a slave. In a third, he will be cheesy.

It’s called Anatomy of a Kaamukan, a web series that will begin this Friday on director Gautham Vasudev Menon’s YouTube channel Ondraga Entertainment. This will be Ondraga’s first foray into Malayalam, after several productions of songs and series in Tamil.

“It is being made by an online content house we started called KaCHaTaThaPa Originals. And we are getting technical support from Ondraga. They will also do the release and promotion,” says Amal Thamby, director of the series.

Anatomy of a Kaamukan will show the different faces and emotions of a male lover in 10-minute episodes.

“It will be non-linear,” Amal says. The ‘kaamukan’ will be played by Vishnu Agasthya, a video jockey, who recently gave a commendable performance in the award-winning film Aalorukkam.

An alumnus of the Adyar Film Institute, Amal has earlier made a short film called I am 22, which was shown at the International Film Festival of India (Goa) in 2014. He has also worked as a faculty at Sibi Malayil’s Neo Film School in Kochi.

A new episode of Anatomy of Kaamukan will be released every Friday, Amal adds.

Ondraga Entertainment is keenly watched by netizens and every production the banner has showcased has been well received. This includes the Tovino-Dhivyadharshini starrer music video ‘Ulaviravu’, composed by Karthik. Apart from promoting independent music, there’s also the Tamil web series Weekend Machan, revolving around the lives of four young techies, and several short films that have been released on the channel.

Ondraga’s latest was the music video ‘Bodhai Kodhai’ that was released last month. Again composed by Karthik, it featured Atharvaa Murali and Aishwarya Rajesh, with lyrics by Madhan Karky.
