Indian manufacturers don’t appear to have been disheartened by the onslaught of the Chinese brands like Vivo, Xiaomi and Oppo. Chinese brands continue to introduce new models in the market and the latest to do so is Xolo.
Their Era 1X Pro has hit the market at an attractive price of Rs 5, 888 and is being sold exclusively through Snapdeal. Buyers might have had a look at this phone’s predecessor, the Xolo Era 1X released towards the end of the third quarter of 2016 and the new phone the Xolo Era 1X Pro is an upgraded version of that model.
The company had followed a similar pattern of selling the Era 1X also through online retailers; only the last time it was Flipkart.
The Xolo Era 1X Pro comes with a 5-inch display with a screen resolution of 720x1280p, which will be in HD format. While the precise name of the processor is not clear, it is said to be clocking a speed of 1.5GHz and it will be a quad-core one.
The phone will have 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage memory. The Xolo Era 1X Pro will also have the facility to expand the memory up to 32GB through the use of a microSD card.
Xolo has tried to bait the average Indian smartphone buyer with some interesting move in the optics department. The front selfie camera of 5MP comes with a dual flash support and for a budget phone, this becomes a USP.
According to Xolo this is a first, possibly in the Indian market. In addition to this, there are also other features, like time lapse videos and beauty mode. The rear camera is of 8MP size. The battery on this phone is a 2500mAh one.
As for the communications features, 4G VoLTE is another major factor that will find favor with the buyers in India as every phone company appears to be out to beat the other with some lucrative data offers, particularly on the 4G platform. Many of these features were carried in the predecessor Era 1X models as well.
