Director Amal Neerad has confirmed that it was Fahadh Faasil who had done the voice-over for the Che Guevara character in Comrade in America.The film, which had Dulquer Salmaan playing a staunch communist has Marxist leaders Lenin, Che Guevara and Karl Marx offering him advice when his love life is in trouble. The audiences that have watched the film could identify Fahadh Faasil’s voice and this was confirmed by the director recently in an interview.
Comrade in America, which was released on May 5th to coincide with Karl Marx’s birth anniversary, is about a youngster with strong communist ideologies going to the United States of America in search of his girlfriend. The film opened to positive reviews and has been holding on to the theatres despite the Baahubali mania.
Karthika Muraleedharan and Chandini Sreedhran play the female leads in this flick. The cast includes Siddique, Parvathy, Soubin Shahir, Dileesh Pothan, Jinu Joseph, John Vijay, Sumit Naval, Maniyan Pilla Raju, Sujith Shankar and Alencier Lay Lopez. Gopi Sunder has composed music for the film. CIA is produced jointly by Amal Neerad and Anwar Rasheed under the banner Amal Neerad Productions. It may be mentioned here that Amal Neerad and Fahadh Faasil share a good rapport, having worked together in Iyobinte Pusthakam. Incidentally, Fahadh had played a communist in the film.
Fahadh Faasil has a slew of films in his kitty currently and will soon be making his acting debut in Kollywood. The star’s projects include Role Models, Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum, Aannengilum Alenkilum, Carbon and Thamarassery to Thailand in Malayalam and Velaikaran and Aneethi Kathaigal in Tamil. On the other hand, Dulquer is busy with the Malayalam film Solo and Oru Bhayankara Kamukan and the bilingual Mahanati. In Mahanati, he will be playing the legendary Tamil actor Gemini Ganesan.
