The first look poster of the horror thriller Bhaagamathie is just out and has gone viral as anticipated.
Anushka’s look in the poster reveals that it would be an edge-of-the-seat thriller that will have the audiences glued to their seats.
In the poster, Anushka appears battered, bloodstained and fierce and adding to the enigma is the pair of chained legs that hang beside her. The poster was launched to coincide with Anushka’s birthday on November 7.
Bhaagamathie stars Anushka Shetty in the title role with Unni Mukundan, Jayaram, Aadhi Pinisetty and Asha Sarath in the star cast. The film is written and directed by G Ashok and produced on a budget of Rs 30 crore by V Vamsi Krishna Reddy and Pramod under the banner UV Creations.
They are also the ones Prabhas’ upcoming film, Saaho, in four languages.
For Anushka’s film S Thaman is composing the tunes for this flick with R Madhi working in it as the cinematographer.
In a media interaction, the makers said “We are proud to make ‘Bhaagamathie’ with Anushka who is in great form in her career and has earned immense fame and praise with ‘Baahubali’. The first look of the film released simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam have hiked the expectations. Director Ashok is exhibiting his brilliant making skills in helming the movie. Anushka’s performance is going to be a major highlight of the film. Madhi’s cinematography will be a special attraction, whereas artwork by Ravinder will be majestic. We are making the film with a massive budget which is required for the gripping story penned by Ashok.”
Principal photography for the film commenced in June last year in Hyderabad and the shooting of this film is progressing at a brisk pace with the team planning to have it released by January next year.
While reports from the tinsel town suggest that the film is in its last leg of shooting, we hear that Anushka plays dual roles in it.
The filmmakers are keeping all the details about it under wraps to build up the suspense factor. So, to know more about Bhaagamathie, we need to wait for it to make its way to the theatres.
Considering the huge popularity that Anushka enjoys after the humongous success of Baahubali: the Beginning and Baahubali: the Conclusion, the makers of Bhaagamathie have decided to release the film in Telugu, Tamil. Malayalam and Hindi.
