Kerala Congress (M) vice-chairman P C George on Friday, was suspended from his post and all other positions he held in the party. He was suspended from his post for reportedly breaching party discipline.According to a report in Malayala Manorama, Kerala Finance Minister and party chief K M Mani announced George’s suspension after a party committee meet held at Thiruvananthapuram.“Using my power as party chairman, I am suspending P.C. George from Kerala Congress (M) vice-chairman post and from all the other positions he holds in the party”, he said.Now retaining the position of a common party member, George is expected to file a quo warrant petition in the court demanding Mani's ouster from the party as the latter occupies the posts of Minister and party chairman in violation of the party rules.George was ousted from the post of Government Chief Whip last week, and has now been suspended from all the committee meetings as well.With the party Vice-chairman’s post being vacant, the P J Joseph led faction has demanded that Francis George be made the new vice-chairman. Mani’s name has also been doing the rounds.
