It is already rumored that the yet-untitled thriller will feature Vijay in the role of a ruthless gangster and is tipped to be a very dark role for Vijay. The actor was last seen playing a gangster in AL Vijay’s Thalaivaa, which sank without a trace at the box-office. In a recent media interaction, director Vijay revealed that he would love to do a sequel to Thalaivaa. However, it is unlikely that this project may take off anytime soon as Vijay has other commitments.
Vijay is currently shooting for Bigil with director Atlee. The film sees him play a football coach to a women’s team. The film, being produced by AGS Entertainment, was officially launched last November in Chennai. Recently, art director T Muthuraj had created a massive set of the Chennai Egmore Railway station, where an important sequence was shot. For the film, Vijay was trained by a special physical trainer to prepare for his role, and sixteen women will star as sports players in the film, which also stars Nayanthara, Jackie Shroff, Kathir, Yogi Babu and Vivek in crucial roles.
