Earlier, there was an announcement that Mammootty’s upcoming film has been titled Kozhy Thankachan. But now, we have news that the title has been changed to Oru Kuttanadan Blog. Wielding the megaphone for this film would be scriptwriter Sethu and it will be his directorial debut. Set in the fictional village Krishnapuram as its backdrop, the film is touted to be a complete comic caper.

Oru Kuttanadan Blog will have three heroines in the star cast and they are Anu Sithara, Lakshmi Rai and Deepthi Sathi. The others in the star cast of this flick include Nedumudi Venu, Adhil Ibrahim, Siddique, Suraj Venjaramood, and Jude Antony. Interestingly, actor Unni Mukundan will be assisting director Sethu in this film. Bankrolling the project are PK Muralidharan and Shantha Muralidharan under the banner Anantha Vision.

On changing the title, the director has reportedly said that the movie would be narrated through a blog. The director has also revealed about Mammootty’s role in the film. He has said that the star plays a middle-aged man who is a role model to the youth in his village.

Touted to be a comedy entertainer, the film will have oodles of humour that is sure to leave the audiences in splits. The groundwork for the film is on and details about when it would go on to the floors will be decided soon, we hear. Meanwhile, Mammootty is busy with a slew of projects on hand. Masterpiece and Street Lights, starring him in the lead role, are in the post-production mode right now with plans on to release it this year.

Interestingly, the star has had a good year so far with his films The Great Father, Puthan Panam and Pullikkaran Staraa doing well at the box office. With Mammootty teaming up with a well-known scriptwriter for Oru Kuttanadan Blog, movie buffs are waiting eagerly to know more about it.
