Actor Sivakarthikeyan, in a recent interaction with college students, has revealed that his future films won’t have any bar songs or stalking scenes.
In 2016, soon after the release of his Remo, in which he played a man disguised as a woman nurse, Siva came under the scanner for glorifying stalking through his role. He pursues Keerthy Suresh in the film non-stop, despite the fact that she makes it very clear that she’s not interested in him quite early on.
When asked about the same during his interaction with college students recently, he said all his future films will refrain from having such scenes. According to a Deccan Chronicle report, Siva said: “Filmmaking is a process. I conveyed a vital message in my previous film Velaikkaran. Still, you people talk about Remo. I think you will not be asking this question after five years. But now, my directors themselves avoid such situations and songs. Not only in Seemaraja, you won’t see such scenes in any of my future movies. It’s the evolution of my career."
Last seen on screen in Velaikkaran as a blue-collared worker in a fight against food adulteration, Sivakarthikeyan is currently shooting the comedy film Seemaraja, which marks his third time collaboration with director Ponram. The film also stars Samantha Akkineni and Simran in important roles.
After completing Seemaraja for director Ponram, Siva has a science-fiction film with Ravi Kumar. This untitled project will have music by A.R Rahman. Rakul Preet Singh is the female lead, and it is slated to go on the floors from this summer. Simultaneously, Siva will be doing a movie helmed by OKOK fame M Rajesh. To be produced by Gnanavel Raja’s Studio Green, the film is said to be a romantic comedy entertainer . As per latest reports, the makers are planning to rope in Sai Pallavi to star opposite Sivakarthikeyan. Siva recently turned producer for his best friend Arunraja Kamaraj’s cricket-based film which stars Aishwarya Rajesh and Sathyaraj in important roles.
