Superstar Rajninkanth, who recently announced his entry into politics, said on Wednesday that only time will tell if he will join forces with Kamal Haasan.

Speaking to media persons near his residence in Poes Garden, Rajinikanth said that touring the state is also part of his political plan. He also wished Kamal all the best for his future in politics.

On Tuesday night, Kamal Haasan formally declared his entry into politics and said that he will be undertaking a state-wide tour, starting February 21.

He said that he would start the yatra from Ramanathapuram, his birth place. Terming it a journey of discovery and learning , he said that he would reveal the name of his party before commencing on the yatra.

Kamal also plans to visit Madurai, Sivagangai and Dindigul.

Calling it a journey of discovery and learning, Kamal said that he would announce the name of his political party before the commencement of the yatra. He will visit Madurai, Sivagangai and Dindigul too.

Rajinikanth announced his much anticipated political entry on the December 31 in Chennai.

"I will form my own political party and contest from all 234 seats in the next assembly election," he announced in the fans meet organised at Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam in T Nagar, Chennai.

The actor lamented about the state of politics in Tamil Nadu by saying, “In the past one year, events in TN politics have made people of Tamil Nadu hang their head in shame. At this time if I don't take this decision, it is not fair to the people who made me live. The guilt would have followed me to the grave. We have to change, we have to change everything fast.”

Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth are contemporaries on screen and now in politics too.
