Vikrithi, starring Soubin Shahir and Suraj Venjaramoodu, is all set to hit the marquee on October 4. The trailer of this film was recently released. The audio launch was held a couple of days ago, by actor  Asif Ali.

Emcy Joseph is the director of this family entertainer, which is based on true incidents. On this, producer AD Sreekumar said in an interview to the New Indian Express much earlier, “As we don’t want to reveal some details yet, all we can say at the moment is that it will be a family drama. It’s a story based on real-life incidents.”

Two parallel stories appear to be told in Vikrithi, judging from the trailer. It begins lightheartedly with Soubin's friends and family teasing him about his marriage. Suraj's story arc shows the picture of a happy family, with his wife and two kids. The background score changes as the trailer progresses and a few policemen led by actor Baburaj enter the picture. It appears to take on a serious note, with a police case happening.

The technical crew of Vikrithi includes Bijibal for music, Alby for cinematography and Ayoob Khan for editing. The film is produced jointly by AD Sreekumar, Ganesh Menon and Lakshmi Warrier.

While Vikrithi is taking shape, Soubin Shahir is also busy with his directorial. The film, which will be his second as a director, has Kunchacko Boban in the lead role. He also has a number of acting assignments needing his attention. Jack and Jill directed by ace cinematographer and filmmaker Santhosh Sivan which has reached the post-production stage, Third World Boys, and Trance, starring Fahadh Faasil and directed by Anwar Rasheed are in the filming stages with Android Kunjappan Ver. 5.25 and Joothan in the pre-production stage. Suraj Venjaramoodu, meanwhile, has Evide and Shubharathri in his kitty. His performance in the recently released Finals, as an old coach and father of the female lead, has been much appreciated.
