Tollywood actor Vijay Deverakonda is back with sweet gifts for his fans on his 30th birthday. As the actor turns another year older on Thursday, he will be celebrating his birthday by distributing ice cream in seven cities across five states.

Last year, the actor had distributed 4,000-5,000 ice creams in Hyderabad, with Vijay himself distributing ice cream on a few routes. As that was a massive hit, he has decided not just to replicate the same in multiple cities, but also cross state boundaries and distribute ice cream to people on the street in seven different cities in the south. Trying his hand at ice cream preparation inside the birthday truck, Vijay distributed ice cream to the crowd gathered at the Cream Stone outlet in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.

Flagging off the first truck in Hyderabad on Thursday morning, a total of nine ice cream trucks will be travelling in Warangal, Vijayawada, Tirupati, Bengaluru, Chennai and Kochi.

“You give me so much love, I had to like to share this day with you. I love ice-creams, I love you and I love seeing happy smiling faces. The Deverakonda Birthday Truck is back and this time we go bigger,” the actor wrote in a cheesy post on his Facebook page on Wednesday.

In collaboration with the popular ice cream outlet Cream Stone, the trucks would be distributing the 'Mr Alphonso' variety of ice creams this year, a signature product of the company. All the trucks will start from the Cream Stone ice cream outlets in their respective cities.

On his Facebook page last year, Vijay had written why he felt didn’t celebrate birthdays and why he felt birthdays were awkward.

“I feel it is (grabbing) attention for the wrong reasons. I usually turn off my phone from 12 tonight. As in, I didn't even choose to be born. It's something my parents decided - to have a kid. Why should I take any credit for it? I like attention for things I do, like a good film or performance or an interview even, but yeah, this ice cream truck gives some meaning to the day," he had written.

On the acting front, Vijay Deverakonda is awaiting the release of his upcoming Telugu flick Dear Comrade. Directed by Bharat Kamma, Dear Comrade is reportedly inspired from the Mollywood movie Comrade in America. Vijay Deverakonda will be playing a student leader with a communist background in Dear Comrade while Rashmika Mandanna will be seen as a cricketer playing for Telangana.
