SA Chandrasekhar, father of Vijay, underwent a surgery at a hospital in Kerala. The 71-year-old Tamil director-producer slipped and fell at a resort in Kumarakom, Kerala on Wednesday morning.
SA Chandrasekhar was rushed to a private hospital with head and back injuries. He was admitted to the intensive care unit, where he was operated on for a head injury, and is under medication.
According to a report by the Times of India, the condition of SA Chandrasekhar, has improved and is satisfactory, according to the neurosurgeon who is treating him. His head injury is stable after a surgery on Wednesday and he could be discharged from hospital in another two days.
Chandrasekar has directed over 70 movies in all south Indian languages. His made his directorial debut with Sattam Oru Iruttarai (1981) and is known for directing socially-themed films.
