Amala Paul was roped in for Vijay Sethupathi's next to be directed by Venkata Krishna Rognath. A week after the film was officially launched Megha Akash was brought in as a replacement for Amala Paul. Though it was initially announced  Amala chose to exit from the project citing date issues, she released an official statement saying it was the maker's decision to replace her in the project. The makers had told Amala that the actor demanded a luxury stay that they couldn’t afford.

Now, actor Vishnu Vishal who was last seen in Raatchasan along with Amala Paul has come in support for the actor. Vishnu tweeted that some of the producers treat actors badly and he was also tempted to talk about such things.

“Happy to see an actor speak up...Numerous times it so happens that actors are the ones who are at ‘fault’ by ‘default’ ...Ive been tempted so many times to share how badly i was treated by a number of producers but then v still giv them the respect as a ‘Modhalaali’. But like the coin has two sides , so does cinema...Ive workd with some really good n wonderful producers as well:)But its high time we speak up against the injustice done to us actors as well , emotionally n professionally n physically”, tweeted Vishnu.

In the Vijay Sethupathi film, a romantic musical, both the lead protagonists play musicians. It revolves around three music composers played by the two leads and a foreign actor. There will also be another lead character in this film that will have music by Nivas Prasanna. Vijay Sethupathi has already started shooting for this project that is being currently dubbed VSP 33.

Meanwhile, Amala Paul hasn’t signed any new Tamil projects in a while. She currently awaits the release of Aadai which is slated to hit the screens on July 19 and Adho Andha Paravai Pola, both action-based scripts which feature her in roles unlike anything she’s done so far in her career.

There are also reports that Amala might have landed an important role in Mani Ratnam’s film adaptation of Ponniyin Selvan. She also awaits the release of her first Hindi film which also stars Arjun Rampal. In Malayalam, Amala has director Blessy’s Aadujeevitham in the pipeline.
