The much awaited teaser for Akkineni Nagarjuna’s Manmadhudu 2 was released on Thursday at 1 pm.

As per the teaser, it seems that Nagarjuna plays the role of a Casanova whose family, unaware of that aspect of his personality, is pressuring him into getting married.

The film also stars Rakul Preet Singh as the female lead and features Vennela Kishore, Lakshmi, Rao Ramesh, and Jhansi in pivotal roles. It has been directed by Rahul Ravindran and is co-produced by Annapurna Studios, Manam Enterprises, Viacom 18 Studios and Anandi Art Creations. The music is being handled by Chaitan Bharadwaj while M Sukumar has handled the cinematography. Editing has been done together by Chota K Prasad and Bonthala Nageswara Reddy.

Nagarjuna was last seen in the September 2018 release Devadas which co-starred Nani, Rashmika Mandanna, and Aakanksha Singh in the lead roles.

Manmadhudhu 2 is said to be the sequel to the actor’s own 2002-film Manmadhudhu, a romantic comedy in which he starred opposite Sonali Bendre. He played the role of Abhiram, a young man who begins to hate women after a misunderstanding about a past relationship. The movie, which was written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas, received immensely positive feedback upon its release.

Actor and director Rahul Ravindran who has wielded the megaphone for the film earlier directed Chi La Sow starring Sushanth and Ruhani Sharma, which was jointly produced by Annapurna Studios and Siruni Cine Corporation. It released to mostly positive reviews.
