One month ago, Vibheesh TT and Dhyanoorhanagithy got married to each other. The Kozhikode natives have been excited about the wedding reception on May 21 that their families have arranged for.

Except, life has been frustrating and confusing for the last three days. Vibheesh has been fielding phone call after phone call, from people who just want to know one thing: What does Dhyanoorhanagithy’s name mean?

Apparently, Vibheesh and Dhyanoorhanagithy’s reception invitation has gone viral on WhatsApp, and people have simply decided to call the groom and his father – whose numbers were printed on the invitation card – to satisfy their curiosity, privacy be damned.

And some of these callers have even started questioning him, says Vibheesh. In fact Vibheesh is now mulling approaching the police to put an end to the nuisance calls.

"My phone hasn't stopped ringing for the past three days,” Vibheesh tells TNM. “Even now, I am getting call waiting notifications. They all want to know what her name means. Initially, someone from Kozhikode called. Then someone from Kannur called. Now I am getting calls from so many people from so many different places. It is getting out of hand," Vibheesh says.

He says that his family shared a photograph of the reception invite on WhatsApp, and sent it to those they couldn’t invite in person. The invitation carried Vibheesh's address and contact number.

In fact, he himself has received the invite as a forward on multiple WhatsApp groups.

His wife Dhyanoorhanagithy is upset with the never-ending calls, Vibheesh says.

"She is angry and upset. I have got messages and calls. One of my former classmates who called yesterday wanted to know why I was getting married to a person with that name. How does it matter to them," Vibheesh asks.

The duo is now contemplating filing a police complaint in the matter.
