India's first co-working space for women, WSquare is organizing NoW 2017, a summit with a panel discussion on inspiring stories and stalls put up by women entrepreneurs across every category starting from organic stores to mobile app development services.
The event, set to be held on July 15 at Savera Hotel in Chennai, will be open for all.
“The purpose of the event is to connect and create a network of like-minded women who are looking to get back to work or pursue something on their own, our summit helps provide them with a direction on what to expect in this journey of self-realization” – say Cofounders Jinal Patel and Vandhana Ramanathan.
The guest of honour at the summit will be Apsara Reddy, Journalist and television Host. She is a transgender woman who recently joined AIADMK and is also Editor-In-Chief of Provoke Magazine and an active speaker on gender equality, violence against women, corruption and politics.
There will be two panel discussions. First one will addressing the question that many often have: What is the right age for women to get back to work? The panel will see stories of women from all ages starting up an Enterprise to getting back to work. The panel discussion will be moderated by Nina Reddy, MD of Savera Group of Hotels
The second panel discussion will be on breaking barriers, which will see a discussion on tales of women who have broken barriers and bridged the gap in a patriarchal society to come up in their respective careers. The panel discussion will be moderated by Kadambari Satish, visionary entrepreneur and CEO, Women Entrepreneurship Development organization.
Wquare will also be launching its app WCONNECT, where you can book a space at WSquare, apply for part-time, flexible, contractual and full time jobs, hire women in multi-tasking roles and avail women-only offers from top brands.
WConnect’s Deep Learning Algorithm, ensures it connects women with the right profile and to the right organization.
Lastly, India’s biggest baby-wearing brand Soul Slings will also conduct a baby-wearing sessions for new mothers at the event, followed by a digital marketing workshop for women entrepreneurs by an all women digital marketing agency, Lets SOS.
